With a population of just under 650,000, Bremen is the smallest of the German states. Situated on the River Weser this beautiful city is known internationally for its good beer, its football club Werder Bremen, the Bremen Town Musicians (from the fairy tale by the Brothers Grimm), as a World Heritage Site with the Town Hall and the statue of Roland, and for its typical north German citizens - who Bavarians like to call "Fischköppe" (fishheads). But the old Hanseatic trading city has much more to offer:
The advantages of Bremen as a trade fair venue… Bremen is a very compact city. The railway station is in walking distance of the city centre, for example, and the airport is only a 15-minute drive away. Our clear advantage over other venues is that the Bremen Congress Centre (CCB), the Exhibition Halls, and the cultural centre 'Kulturzentrum Schlachthof' are all located directly behind the railway station: in other words, right in the heart of the city. Everything is in easy reach!
